In cooler temperatures and better grip conditions the day before, the premier class, prepared to lower their times in all areas, with Ben Spies (Yamaha Factory Racing) was the first drop below the 1′40 “barrier at 20 minutes. Time 1′40 .698 Rossi set his final lap the Italian Ducati took the position of first in the ranking, team mate Nicky Hayden finished 11th.
